Should You Get a Full-Time Virtual Assistant or a Part-Time Employee?

You need to grow your business and you’re looking at a part-time employee or a full-time virtual assistant.

Aside from the obvious differences (employees can be in the office, VAs can work unusual hours) what should you choose?

When to Choose a VA

  • When cost is a factor

Virtual assistants cost less; it’s as simple as that. You pay one simple monthly fee, and that’s it. Everything is taken care of – leave, HR requirements etc are not your issue.

  • When you’re not set up for an employee

If you don’t have systems in place, or if you don’t have the additional requirements such as tools of trade, you should start with a qualified VA. Also, remember that employees will expect pay raises and career opportunities as the business grows – do you have a plan for that?

  • When you don’t have time

VA’s can begin as task driven and develop as you need them to. So, you may have your virtual assistant doing data entry or database management for the first few months to get that stuff off your plate. Later, you may want them to move into social media posting, design or lead sourcing. They’ll be ready when you are.

  • When you’re worried about risk

Employees don’t just cost more, the risk involved with hiring a part-time employee is higher. What if they leave after you’ve trained them? What if they need to take time off for a family event? What if they’re just not a good fit anymore?

With a LinkedVA virtual assistant, you’re working with a business, not an individual. We’ll replace your VA if it’s not working out. We have training programs and are constantly upskilling our team. Our account managers and team leaders work as liaisons between you and your VAs to make sure you and they are happy and effective.

LinkedVA works with trained virtual assistants. Our processes are robust so that you can focus on the things that matter and not stress about your team.
